It is December!

Wow, I can't believe how quickly December has come and *almost* gone.  Time flies when you're having fun right?  Something like that.  We are almost all ready for Christmas and Santa, just a few more things on the list.  We've been staying busy with Christmas parties, play dates, sickness, you name it.  And then of course there's the snow, how exciting!  Looking forward to seeing everyone over the holidays, and I can't wait to watch Eli open his presents on Christmas morning.  I wonder what Santa will bring?  ;)

Eli loves laying under the tree and looking up at the lights.

Not sure what was going on here, but it must have been surprising!

Having fun!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for, I don't even know where to start.  So many of our friends have lost loved ones recently, it just really makes you realize how blessed you are to have your health.  And with the economy the way it is and people losing jobs left and right, of course we are thankful for both our jobs.  Even though things are tight, we can pay the bills and get the things we need.  We are super thankful for our amazing friends and family.  I don't know what we'd do without you guys!

We spent our Thanksgiving at the beach, which has become our little family tradition.  We had a great time, Eli was on his best behavior for most of the trip.  The weather was nice with the exception of one day, and we were even able to spend a couple of hours with Dad and Katherine.  We visited the aquarium and Ft. Macon, and of course Eli's favorite playground.  He asked to go to the park at least once a day!  Saturday was the Christmas parade, but Eli was getting pretty worn out by that time so he wasn't as excited as I'd hoped he would be.  Of course a sucker helps :)

School Days

Eli had his pictures made at school the other day, and we were very pleasantly surprised with good results! Normally he never smiles for his pictures at school. I don't know what this photographer did, but it worked!

Quick Update

It's been too long since I've posted anything, but I feel like nothing much is going on lately. Funny, because we seem SO busy these days! Unfortunately I don't have many pictures to share of the past few weeks, it's hard when there's so much going on. Lemme see if I can break down the past 3 weeks for you.

Halloween was great. Michael and I spent Saturday at the Wake game with some good friends. In the rain. But it was a blast regardless. Then we went to see our favorite band play at a local brewery. Also a blast. Eli spent the weekend with Memaw & PawPaw, and got to do a little trick or treating. All in all a great weekend. Here is a pic of the 3 of us from the Halloween party we went to the weekend before.

Saturday the 7th we hosted a chicken stew. It was fantastic! We need to do this more often. Had a few friends over to share the love, complete with a fire and s'mores. Yummy! There were 5 kids under the age of 2 at our house, and it looked like a looted Toys R Us by the end of the night! But they had so much fun it didn't matter. Eli loved having his friends over and was asking about them for days to follow. We really enjoyed the company of friends we don't see often enough.

This weekend Eli spent the weekend at Grammy's. From what I hear they are having a ball. Eli loves being on the farm and helping with the horses. And Anthony is so great with him, they are best buds. Michael and I went to Charlotte for a friends wedding. Congrats Andy & Jenny! The wedding was beautiful and we had so much fun at the reception reminiscing with old friends. Hopefully I'll have some pictures soon.

So that's it in a nutshell. Like I said, busy, busy busy! Having a few days off for Thanksgiving will be a much needed break. Maybe I'll have some pictures to share soon :)

Happy Halloween!

The Fulcher family split up this Halloween. Michael and I went to the Wake Forest football game with friends and then out to Foothills Brewery to see Darrell's band play. Eli went to Memaw and Pawpaw's and did some trick or treating! The weather was rainy, but we had a great time anyway, even though Wake lost the game. It was a long day, and even longer night, but we had a blast!

Trick or treat!

Saturday was Halloween for Eli. He'll be at Memaw's next Saturday so Mommy and Daddy can have some fun on their own, so we did Halloween a little early this year. First was Trunk or Treat at church, and then afterwards a party with some friends. "Party Party" as Eli would say! Unfortunately Kermit the Frog was at the party, and apparently he's a pretty scary character. Eli did his best to avoid him all night! Maybe next year Darrell.

Roarrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday we took Eli to the pumpkin patch. He had a blast running around and climbing on all the wagons. He wasn't too interested in getting pictures, but we did our best. Sorry for the lack of Halloween costume, but it was only 75 degrees!

And for fun here is a picture of him at the pumpkin patch from last year.

Testing the waters

So, I'm going to try this blog thing. I've been wanting to for forever, but just haven't made it a priority. I wish I had started this a long time ago, like when Eli was born or even when I was pregnant. But you can't rewrite history, so here we go!
